Xanthel ®, Xanthelasma Cream

Made up for your skin. Used at home, usually just once.

Key Takeaways

Most creams can’t shift xanthelasma, but Xanthel® xanthelasma treatment cream is made for it. It’s a cosmetic cream designed to improve the look of the yellow cholesterol patches on your eyelids, made up for your skin and usually applied just once at home. Results vary.

How Xanthel® Cream Works, Step By Step

Eyelid skin, where xanthelasma forms

Why Most Creams Can’t Shift Xanthelasma

Xanthelasma is a build-up of cholesterol-rich fat inside the skin of your eyelids, which is why it looks yellow and sits slightly raised. Many people know it simply as cholesterol bumps on the eyelid, and our guide to xanthelasma palpebrarum explains it in more detail.

Moisturisers, anti-ageing eye creams and oils work on the surface. They can make skin feel softer, but they don’t change the deposit underneath, so the patch looks the same. The same goes for castor oil and most natural remedies: people try them, but there’s no good evidence they shift a patch that’s already there.

What Xanthel® Is Made To Do

Xanthel® is made for one job: improving the look of xanthelasma. It’s formulated for the thin skin around your eyes and matched to you, so it’s designed to work on the patch while staying gentle on the skin around it.

Xanthel® made up for every skin tone

Made Up For Your Skin Type And Tone

No two people’s patches are quite the same. Their size and depth vary with your age, how long you’ve had them and your skin tone, and eyelid skin is some of the thinnest on your body. That’s why we don’t sell one formula for everyone.

Every Xanthel® kit is made up after you order, for skin tones right across the Fitzpatrick scale, from type 1 (very fair) to type 6 (very dark). Depending on where your patches are, we’ll send a cream or a gel, so it suits the area it’s going on, whether that’s the upper lid, the inner corner or xanthelasma under the eyes.

If you’ve already tried another treatment, such as a clinic procedure or a home remedy, tell us when you order. Clear photos of your patches help too, and you can email them to us if you’d like our honest view first. We’d rather tell you now if we don’t think Xanthel® is right for you.
